Software QA Tester (Quality Assurance)

Deft Consulting is looking for talented, driven individuals in Quito, Ecuador, to join our team. Responsibilities Include:

• Estimates testing levels of effort for requirements
• Determines testing approach for break/fix and enhancement requests
• Develops test plans, scenarios, procedures, test cases, and RTMs
• Develops test scripts based on acceptance criteria, edge case, and special scenarios
• Meet with the Business Analysis and internal business members to determine testing parameters
• Executes detailed tests and test scripts, including regression testing
• Documents test results
• Manages Jira board for QA stories
• Work with the software development team to determine and resolve issues
• Automates tests as needed in testing tools to support automation, 508 compliance, and performance testing
• Supports UAT prep efforts in conjunction with business owners/users
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers, clients, vendors, and internal staff
• Identify and communicate risks in the testing process across all products and test frameworks

Required:

• Fluent in professional and technical English, both oral and written
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Information Technology as a Software QA/Tester
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Demonstrated abilities as a driven, self-starter, and quick study

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field or business administration
• Experience with BPM platforms
• Comfortable with Agile development practices
• Agile Certification preferred
• Able to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
• Familiarity with Jira
• Work effectively with numerous stakeholder types and bring a group to a consensus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction context
