Appian Senior Consultant - Federal

Deft Consulting is looking for a motivated Senior Appian Consultant to assist in a critical Appian implementation at a large government agency. This consultant will have the opportunity to participate in either Appian development, management of Agile responsibilities and execution, or a combination of both. This consultant will not shift between multiple projects, but instead will support the government agency long-term with the backing and opportunity to learn from an established Appian professional services organization.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Appian
• Experience throughout the software development life cycle
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Clear communication skills and ability to interface directly with clients when necessary
• Passion for technology and innovation

Preferred

• Experience working with database-backed task design
• Experience in cross-functional roles within the development life cycle
• Appian Level 2 or Senior Developer certification
• Public Trust or Secret clearance (not required to start; Deft will facilitate)
• (Optional) Ability to lead small teams

Description

• Design, implement, and demonstrate Appian solutions to clients
• Work directly with project stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of projects to define, design, and implement business process-based solutions
• Act as a liaison between technical team and business stakeholders
• Work with Appian web APIs and integrations, including defining and updating data contracts and designing efficient integration-based workflows
• Communicate and coordinate across multiple teams, including both other Appian teams and teams that use other technologies
• Write and execute SQL queries to get metrics on production activities
• Groom user stories from a technical level to ensure there are no gaps in documented requirements, identifying dependencies and technical priority for stories
• Fully understand the process flow at both logical and technical levels, generating and presenting diagrams when necessary
• Perform analysis and troubleshooting of process instances, web APIs, and integrations in a production environment
• Deploy hotfixes and patches to a production environment
