VP of Professional Services, Boutique Firm

Deft Consulting is seeking a Vice President of Professional Services (VP of PS) to oversee and manage its primary line of business. The VP of PS will be responsible for Deft’s delivery of high-quality software services (and eventually products) both internally and externally, including directing and overseeing all initiatives in support of delivery objectives. All professional services resources will roll up to the VP of PS who will supervise a handful of employees directly; the VP of PS will also be the main point of contact for many customers and partners. In addition to being responsible for operations running smoothly and adding value to Deft’s customers, the VP of PS will be expected to proactively propose solutions to increase efficiency, quality, and revenue.

The VP of PS will round out Deft’s leadership team and interact with the CEO, COO, and Director of Sales on strategic objectives. The VP of PS will also interact with direct reports on execution within the products and services organization.

  • 10+ years of experience in technology professional services
  • Experience managing and supervising employees
  • Agile expert

Key Responsibilities:

  • Further both the short-term and long-term vision and strategic plans for Deft, maintaining alignment with our company values and vision
  • Establish and implement metrics to optimize team delivery and measure business value
  • Increase efficiency, quality, and revenue within the professional services line of business
  • Support and guide Delivery Managers and Team Leads in implementation best practices while leading organizational improvement and safeguarding against risks
  • Manage customer and partner relationships
  • Assist with day-to-day operations
